Yabusame is the event of Autumn festival at Iimori shrine.
It is held on 9th in October. Men dressed in samurai hunting style of the Kamakura era (the 13th century) shoot arrows aiming the targets from galloping horses.
It has been held for more than 400 years. Also, it is very holy event to pray for having a good crop of rice, being in good health and the best luck of the people. It is broadcasted in Fukuoka local TV news every year.

Iimori shrine which was built in 859 A.D. is located at the Mt. Iimori's mountainside West ward Fukuoka city.
