Today I’ll take you to the wholesale fish market in Nagahama, near downtown Tenjin.
There held the thanks day once a month, on the second Saturday from 9 to 12 o’clock. You can get there by 5 minutes’ taxi ride from Tenjin.




Once you visit there, you will understand how fresh is the fish served in restaurants in Fukuoka city.
Of course you can buy fresh fish, dried fish and frozen food at bargain price ! No need to buy ? It’s OK.


On the thanks days, there also are many events, such as cleaning the tuna, demonstration and practice of how to cook fish, and tasting.
Also, children’s playing corner where they can touch swimming fish in the little fish pool is prepared.


  What about the food in Fukuoka?

One of the pleasures to travel is to eat delicious food, isn’t it? Delightful Dish is waiting for you in Fukuoka!!
Seafood and the agricultural produce are plentiful at reasonable price. Also the fruits, such as strawberries and giant grapes are specialties of Fukuoka Prefecture.
