It is located in the Kasuya-county Sasaguri-machi. Around the dam, there are parking lots, a park, temples and an observatory. Also, children's playground and barbecue facilities too are equipped. Most of all, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Fukuoka city from the observatory.
The gravity type of concrete and multipurpose dam's total storage capacity is 4,400 thousand cubic meters.

When it is clear, you can see Yahuoku Dome in Fukuoka.
The elevators are equipped inside of the towers. You can get into the tower from here and walk around inside of the tower with a reservation in advance.
A rest hut by the road . You can, watching the scenery of the dam, hear the songs of birds.
This temple is called Akashi-Dera temple. The color of leaves is beautiful in autumn. You can see the dam through it.
The environment of the dam gives us colorful flowers, fresh green, colored leaves, and a variety of appearances. Natural landscape such as the forest and the murmur of a stream give us a real peace. Please have a visit.
